Have you ever struggled to find the perfect place to live? If so, here’s our advice on how to find the best place for you to call home …

Affordability

Firstly you need to determine how much money you’re willing to spend on a home. It’s a good idea to have a specific price range in mind when going to an estate agents so they’re able to show you apartments that are affordable for you instead of wasting time looking at places that are out of your price range.

Location

Would you prefer to live in the suburbs or in the city? Many apartments in the city are only a short walk away from everything you could possibly need including shops, restaurants and bars. On the other hand in the suburbs, such as North Leeds, some of the houses have private gardens to relax in and driveways to park your cars.

Features

Does your dream home have specific features? Homes have different features which could influence your decision, this could include exposed brickwork, L-shaped kitchens, floor to ceiling windows, a balcony, city views, exposed beams, recessed lighting and a dual aspect. It’s up to you to describe what’s inside your perfect home.

Research

There are lots of properties on websites such as Rightmove, so it’s always a good idea to look at a variety of apartments instead of just one. This gives you a good idea of what you prefer and what you dislike which simplifies the list of properties you could view.

Availability

If you have a certain date you need to move in by you should always check the availability date, there’ll be nothing more disappointing than finding a home you love but not being able to move in when you need to.
