Amenities on your doorstep
There is everything you could possibly need in the city centre ranging from shops, restaurants, bars, theatres and leisure. You would only ever have to walk around 5 minutes to a local supermarket. Everything is within easy access so you wouldn’t ever need to drive.
The popular shopping centres, Trinity and Victoria Gate, are situated in the heart of the city so there are a wide variety of shops to browse. If you prefer smaller, independent shops then the Corn Exchange and the arcades such as Thorntons Arcade and Queens Arcade have plenty to choose from.
If you live in the city, you won’t ever struggle to find a delightful restaurant to eat at as it has some amazing restaurant chains. If you want to spend a night out dancing and having fun with your friends, Leeds is a brilliant place to do that. There’s the popular hotspot Call Lane which has various bars to visit and also Greek Street is known to have excellent cocktail bars. Living in the city means that you are close to all the action!
Leeds always has different events going on throughout the year that you could be a part of. Popular events include the Light Night, Leeds Pride and Leeds International Beer Festival. Also there are always live events occurring at the First Direct Arena with plenty of famous faces.
There are some beautiful walks that you can do in the city. Many people enjoy walking along the River Aire as it has lots of photo worthy spots!

The train and bus station are situated in the city centre which helps to get you in and out of the city. There is also a coach station with lots of coaches travelling to various places. If you prefer to travel in style you can ride the water taxi from Granary Wharf to Clarence Dock!
