April is all about Easter! There are plenty of activities and events to keep you entertained throughout the month. These are a selection of some of the events happening in Leeds this month…
Hop City 2019
The UK’s first ever hop-led beer festival returns to Leeds for the third time. Some of the UK’s best breweries will be there when Hop City takes over Northern Monk Brewery so you’ll be able to sample the beers. The festival takes places on the 19th and 20th of April and you can get tickets from https://www.ticketweb.uk/.
International Jousting Tournament
Over the bank holiday weekend you can see medieval jousting at the Royal Armouries Museum. Four teams of knights from the UK, Poland, Canada and the USA will compete in a tournament. It’ll be a magnificent event and you’ll feel like you’ve been taken back in time.
Pie and Ale Festival
The Pie and Ale Festival arrives at Waterlane Boathouse on Easter Sunday, the 21st of April. There’ll be over 40 different types of flavoursome pies for you to try including pies from Wilsons, Robinson’s Farm Shop and Lishman’s. There’s also a big line-up of the UK’s best craft beer to complement the pies.
First Direct Arena
The arena in Leeds has a great line-up this month. The Greatest Show is perfect for families as a group of 10 will be singing and dancing to songs from popular musicals including, The Greatest Showman, A Star is Born and Moulin Rouge. Also the Laugh out Loud Comedy Club returns to the arena with 4 comedians taking to the stage to make the audience howl with laughter.
