Of course August is filled with all sorts of events to keep you entertained. So we thought we would narrow it down to our favourite top 5 events this month.
Obviously Leeds Pride is back during the first weekend of August. After the huge success of last years’ event, there are now over 120 floats taking part in the parade through the city. The parade leaves Millennium Square at 2pm and finishes on Lower Briggate where you can celebrate in style at the Leeds Pride street party where DJ’s will be performing during the day. This event is one not to miss!
The beach returns to the city! A much loved favourite from Leeds locals, the event gives you the opportunity to visit the beach without leaving the city. Here for just under a month, you can enjoy the decking area on the ‘beach’, the BBQ, refreshments and also keep children entertained with the summer-themed rides. City Beach returns on the 16th August until the 3rd September.
Otherwise known as the UKs number 1 music festival is back in Bramham Park on the Bank Holiday weekend in August. Headline acts include Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar and Kings of Leon and this year there are 6 different stages you can go to. Tickets are still available to buy via their website. All information on the logistics of the festival can be found there too.
