Our Instagram page features a range of pictures of Leeds city centre and beyond! We show off what the city has to offer with posts of new developments, skylines, monuments, architecture and city views. We’d like to show you our top 5 posts from March…
Leeds Bridge has recently undergone a lot of work such as maintenance, repair and strengthening of the bridge. To improve the appearance, workers are painting the bridge. We anticipate the works to finish in April. We managed to capture this snap showing the beginning of the refurbished bridge. It’s starting to look brilliant, we can’t wait until the whole bridge is finished!
The sun setting always makes for a great photo, but the sun setting over the River Aire with the city in the skyline makes for an amazing photo as the sun reflects perfectly onto the water. The sunset was definitely Instagram worthy and no filter was needed (we never use filters anyway). We can’t believe it was in winter!
‘Learn from yesterday, live for today, design for tomorrow.’ The artwork on the Lyon Works Buildings was done by Peter Barber who specialises in murals and signs. The aim was to bring the old building back to life. You can see it for yourself on Templar Lane, close to Victoria Gate.
We managed to snap 2 shots of the bridge at Clarence Dock, one in the midday and one in the evening. Both had clear, colourful skies which reflected beautifully onto the river. Which one do you prefer?
The view from the roof terrace at Candle House is amazing as it has panoramic far reaching views of the city. Looking over the railway lines, you can easily do some trainspotting watching the trains depart and arrive at the station.
Which one is your favourite?
